Classes are currently running on Monday and Thursday evenings, and take place in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains at Master Hughes’s home studio.
We run classes for all age ranges – including the Eaglets Program for kids, the Tiger and Eagle programs for adults, and family-based classes for men, women, and children of all ages combined.
Master Hughes & all black belts have their working with children checks.
About our classes
In our classes, our objectives are that you will develop self-confidence, a healthy attitude, and mental focus. We also aim to improve breathing and co-ordination and to encourage discipline in oneself.
Our lessons have a friendly and respectful atmosphere that promotes learning and makes your experience enjoyable and fun!
We suggest that you wear something comfortable on your first lesson – with enclosed footwear and that you join into all the fun activities. We want keen and active members to join in and try everything. We are looking for students who are eager, passionate, keen, motivated, and willing to learn new activities.
Some examples of our fitness programs are:
- Street tactical moves
- Fun circuits & routines for kids
- Light weights, kettle bells and stance routines
- Dodge ball and other fun activities
- Focused workout – punching bags, kicking shields, focus mitts.
- Advanced workout – jumping kicks, light & semi-contact sparring, multiple attacks.
- Short stick and long stick (bow stick)
- Breathing kata (DanJong) and moving meditation kata
- Drills – falls & rolls, throws & sweeps, single & double attacks.
